Eleanor Hamilton is a third-year student at the School of Community and Public Affairs from Concordia University. She is looking forward to developing intersectional models of public health policy and (hopefully) addressing its apparent tension with contemporary economic thought.

Alex Hemingway (he/him) is a Senior Economist and Public Finance Policy Analyst at the CCPA’s BC Office. His research focuses on tax fairness, public finances, public services, and economic inequality in BC and Canada. Alex holds a PhD in political science from the University of British Columbia, where his research examined the relationship between economic class and political inequality in the advanced industrialized world. He holds two master’s degrees from the London School of Economics (MSc Social Policy and Planning; MSc Global Politics), as well as a BA in psychology from Simon Fraser University. Trish Hennessy (she/her) is a senior communications strategist with the CCPA national office and director of its Think Upstream project. She co-founded the CCPA’s national growing gap project and the CCPA’s Ontario office.

Alex Himelfarb (he/him) is the chair of the CCPA national office board, former Clerk of the Privy Council and academic, and chair or member of several voluntary sector organizations.

Robert Hackett is a CCPA Research Associate, co-founder of Media Democracy Days in 2001, and co-author of Remaking Media: The Struggle to Democratize Public Communication (2006) and Journalism and Climate Crisis: Public Engagement, Media Alternatives (2017).

Arman Hamidian is a consultant at Santis Health, a public affairs, strategic advisory, public policy, marketing and communication consultancy that is dedicated to the health care and life sciences sectors across the country.

Sam Hammond served as Vice-President and First Vice-President at the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario before becoming President of ETFO in 2009. Throughout his career, Sam taught all grades from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, was an instructor in the Labour Studies Program at McMaster University, and taught Collective Bargaining for the CLC and qualification courses for Brock University.

Karen Hansen-Kuhn is Program Director at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy.

Inez Hillel (she/her) is an economist and co-founder of Vivic Research. She is passionate about intersectional economics that center frontline voices and views qualitative data as foundational for progressive policy development.

Cathy Holtslander is the Director of Research and Policy at the National Farmers Union. Her work includes analysis of implications of international trade agreements for farmers and rural communities, as well promotion of alternatives. She is a participant in the CCPA’s Trade and Investment Research Project.

Corum Bok Holtz (he/him) is a second-year student at Osgoode Hall Law School interning with the CCPA’s Trade and Investment Research Project.

Stan Houston is professor emeritus of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Alberta, where he has worked as an infectious disease specialist. He also worked for over six years in Africa and participated for many years in the development of harm reduction and refugee health services in Edmonton.

Sandy Hudson (she/her) is an activist, multidisciplinary creative and writer with a talent for inspiring others to imagine just futures. The founder of the Black Lives Matter movement presence in Canada andBlack Lives Matter – Toronto, Sandy also co-founded theBlack Legal Action Centre, a specialty legal aid clinic, which provides direct legal services and test case litigation for Black communities in Ontario, Canada. Sandy is currently based in Los Angeles and serves as an international organizer for Black Lives Matter – Grassroots and the Director of Strategic Planning for the Wildseed Centre for Art & Activism. David Hughes (he/him) is an earth scientist who spent most of his professional career working in the energy industry in Calgary. He worked with the Geological Survey of Canada for 32 years as a scientist and research manager and is a research associate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives B.C. Office.
