Alex Hemingway (he/him) is a Senior Economist and Public Finance Policy Analyst at the CCPA’s BC Office. His research focuses on tax fairness, public finances, public services, and economic inequality in BC and Canada. Alex holds a PhD in political science from the University of British Columbia, where his research examined the relationship between economic class and political inequality in the advanced industrialized world. He holds two master’s degrees from the London School of Economics (MSc Social Policy and Planning; MSc Global Politics), as well as a BA in psychology from Simon Fraser University. Trish Hennessy (she/her) is a senior communications strategist with the CCPA national office and director of its Think Upstream project. She co-founded the CCPA’s national growing gap project and the CCPA’s Ontario office.

Alex Himelfarb (he/him) is the chair of the CCPA national office board, former Clerk of the Privy Council and academic, and chair or member of several voluntary sector organizations.

Cathy Holtslander is the Director of Research and Policy at the National Farmers Union. Her work includes analysis of implications of international trade agreements for farmers and rural communities, as well promotion of alternatives. She is a participant in the CCPA’s Trade and Investment Research Project.

Corum Bok Holtz (he/him) is a second-year student at Osgoode Hall Law School interning with the CCPA’s Trade and Investment Research Project.

Sandy Hudson (she/her) is an activist, multidisciplinary creative and writer with a talent for inspiring others to imagine just futures. The founder of the Black Lives Matter movement presence in Canada andBlack Lives Matter – Toronto, Sandy also co-founded theBlack Legal Action Centre, a specialty legal aid clinic, which provides direct legal services and test case litigation for Black communities in Ontario, Canada. Sandy is currently based in Los Angeles and serves as an international organizer for Black Lives Matter – Grassroots and the Director of Strategic Planning for the Wildseed Centre for Art & Activism. David Hughes (he/him) is an earth scientist who spent most of his professional career working in the energy industry in Calgary. He worked with the Geological Survey of Canada for 32 years as a scientist and research manager and is a research associate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives B.C. Office.
