This isn’t surprising: an elementary school is typically a centerpiece of a neighbourhood and it becomes a focal point for travel twice a day for children and parents. Whether by walking, driving, or taking the bus, the trek to school is a fixture of neighbourhood life and, as such, can influence how a community is understood and planned.
